I've had enough of the Escort Cosworth, and decided to trade it in for something a bit more subtle and reliable.

So why have I just bought a Clio V6? Ho hum, pics in a few weeks...

PH2. Modifications are tasteful alloys, colour coded intakes and a transparent engine cover.

Very nice. Is it as mental to drive day to day as it's reputation suggests?

No idea. Honestly, it feels a little slow from the test drive. I'm buying it (like the Cosworth), as a piece of factory insanity.

It feels like like a fast fat Clio, to be honest, but a few miles will bring this into focus.

So far, be positive with the clutch, and leave the accelerator alone until you are done with it. More thoughts on their way.

Very nice, my other half's Dad has a VERY low mileage PH2 V6 in liquid yellow, one of only 16 I believe and the same as Nick Trott's from EVO.

That is lovely. V6 is currently on my shortlist when I decide to get rid of the 182 although I'm going to want a different colour.

Any pics of the engine with the cover on as that sounds great.

Cheers folks!

Got it properly yesterday.... And it's an utter giggle. Surprisingly compliant ride, good mid-range (but not worth pushing it to 7k), heavy clutch with a light, snickety gear box.

I'm loving it.
