Help needed, Clio V6 owners - Tyre choice?
Discussion
Hi guys,
I know that they have discontinued the standard front tyre size for the Clio V6.
Question is...what size to go for instead?
I'm going to keep with the Pilot Sports, but don't know whether to go for the 225/35/18 or 225/40/18.
Anybody recently changed theirs? I'm worried about rubbing on full lock if I go for the 225/40/18's.
Are their any issues with going for the 225/35/18's?

This is covered in this month's EVO magazine - 225/40/18 were the tyres recommended by Renault UKI know that they have discontinued the standard front tyre size for the Clio V6.

I read that article.
Those were my initial choices as well...
But doing a bit of research has found that Hankook offer the Ventus S1 Evo in the standard 205/40/18 size.
Pirelli do the same, but only as 'Runflats' for the 205/40/18s
The Hankooks have beeen getting decent reviews of late...and the Pirelli's are pretty much topping all the Tyre tests...but not sure about the 'Runflats', as they are generally not as competant handling wise (though would that matter if they were only fitted on the fronts...as they do a standrad 245/40/18 tyre for the rears?).
