wife has a 307 convertible but

we do not have a locking wheel nut key prev owner has lost it, no code avail so do we have to bash the nuts of or is there a more civilised method eg some way of finding a key, have asked the question at main dealers but they want about a £100 to drill them out then £40 for a new set, my local guy will do it for half that, any views thanks all

are they the sort with 4 holes and a raised round centre bit?If so i have managed a couple of times to drive a socket onto the round centre part and then undo them.They are a to drill out i'm afraid.

nightmare of a job only one bolt came out other 3 had to be drilled god knows how many drill bits but the labour was ten hours from our local chap never by one of these without the key or the code for one damn expensive repair the wheels survived tho ,,,,

Thats why i knock the socket on, it took me two hours to drill one out,they are incredibly hard.It's probably quicker to make a new locking nut key
