Clio Williams restoration
Discussion
Ive owned a mk1 clio williams since 2002 when i accidentaly brought it at a classic car show at Knebworth house. The car was my daily runner until i pullled it of the road in Aug 07 for a bit of a clean up but redundacy's, relationship break up, money issuses and normal life stuff meant that it sat there in the lock up until march this year ( alway said i would never sell it).
Anyway, an oil change, new plugs, new battery and a drop of fresh fuel was enough to make her start after a couple of turns and all seemed fine although it was very noisy. I was amazed when it went straight through its MOT with no advisories two days later.
Not being much of a mechanic apart from the basics i took it to www.519automotive.co.uk for a check over, Dan changed the cambelt for me and welded up my cracked exhaust (it was bloody noisy) so now all that was left was the clean up is was taken off the road for to start with.
now, after nearly ten weeks in the care of www.finishlineukltd.co.uk it looks truly fantastic.
Anybody want to see the pictures ?
