Having a bit of a sort-out of my collection so while I had them all out, thought I'd photograph the most interesting ones. So I may as well share them with you:

1992 Benetton B192 by Minichamps - Michael Schumacher Collection No.1.
Michael's first race win, Belgian GP. Should actually have Camel wording rather than just images, but this model is so much of a collector's item that I'm scared to change it now!

1993 McLaren MP4/8 by Minichamps - McLaren Collection No.1.
Ayrton's last race win, Australian GP. Not sure whether my comments above re fag decals apply to this one also.

1994 Sauber C13 by Minichamps.
Special livery for Canada to celebrate Andrea de Cesaris' 200th Grand Prix (or was it just the 200th he'd crashed out of?).

Always liked this livery - 1995 Jordan by Minichamps (Barricello)

Thought this was the nicest of all though - again, Jordan, from the following year.

Was this the first Red Bull? 1997 Sauber driven by Norberto Fontana - I'm sure we all remember him (not).
Model by Onyx.

1911 Marmon Wasp, winner of the first Indianapolis 500 and driven by Ray Harroun. Supposed to have been the first use of a rear view mirror, which the organisers insisted on as he carried no mechanic. Model was built from a kit by John Day and dating from the mid-1970s; one of the first white metal kit producers.

Patrese's Williams FW12c, built from the Tameo kit - now sold.

Marcos-BMC (1966 Le Mans) built from a Mini Racing kit - also now sold.

Matra MS5 F3 (Monthlery - Jean-Pierre Jabouille), from a Tenariv kit. Now sold.

Proof that I don't collect just F1's - Porsche 356C by Minichamps.

And finally, proof that I don't just do cars - 1/48 scale Hurricane, from the Hasegawa kit. Unfortunately this is no more, a victim of a bizarre paint accident a couple of years back (I don't want to talk about it).

More will follow when I've charged up the camera batteries.

I think the batteries need a really good charging. I see no pictures.

Disregard - they've suddenly appeared - and very nice they are toosmile

I'm sure Sauber were sponsored by Red Bull from at least 1995.

Thanks for the offer, but I really have enough of these things!

One I took this afternoon that I forgot to include before:

Renault RE22 from the 1980 Monaco GP - used a special version of the V6 turbo engine that only ran in qualifying.
Model by Quartzo - the 'historic' wing of Onyx.

Will post more photos tomorrow as I unearth more gems.

Nice stuff - I've got all the Senna collection oldies, which I believe are pretty rare these days.

Will need to get some photos done too!

You are correct sir, in fact I've now found the car in question:

A Minichamps, No 1 in the Heinz-Harald Frentzen Collection.

Few more I photographed today:

de Tomaso, exactly what it says on the box.

1991 Jordan by Minichamps - Michael's first F1 drive, before Benetton snatched him.

Damon's '96 Championship-winning FW18, note his autograph on the box lid.

Dan Gurney's Porsche 804 from the '62 French Grand Prix - Porsche's only F1 win. Model by Quartzo.

Quartzo 1972 and 73 Lucky Strike sponsored Lotus 72D and Tyrrell 004. Drivers Dave Charlton and Eddie Keizan.

A quartet of Quartzo March 701's from 1970. Left to right:
Chris Amon, Jackie Stewart, Mario Andretti, Ronnie Peterson and Hubert Hahne.
Hahne's is quite an amusing tale, for he bought the car, failed to qualify for the German GP and complained to March that the car was not up to scratch. Peterson then took it out, showed it was in fact capable of respectable lap times ... and Hahne gave up racing.

Closer view of the Peterson and Andretti Marches.

Another Quartzo, Renault RE30B driven by Rene Arnoux. Neat idea to have a removeable body, but unfortunately it has to stay off, the driver's head stops it going on!

Finally a Brumm, this one is from the Brumm+ range with additional detail plus a driver. It's Gilles Villeneuve's Ferrari 126 from the '82 Belgian GP, during qualifying for which he unfortunately met his end. The photo is a little indistinct because the packaging has never been broken (I have a couple of the standard models for display).

More to follow when I get the camera out again tomorrow.

I have some of the Qaurtzo range and they are really neat little models. The only problem is the lack of ciggie logos on the more recent cars. It seems that they were allowed on cars over a certain age - don't know why.

Light wasn't good today but I did manage to take a few:

The earliest Onyx in my collection, 1988 Lotus 100T of Satoru Nakajima. This is the only '88 car I have, I did have all four but sold the McLaren and Benetton, and the Ferrari has been converted to the previous year's. (A Williams-Judd was rumoured, but never appeared.) Uniquely, in just the first year of production they offered both 'smoking' and 'non-smoking' versions - afterwards it was strictly 'non-smoking' only.

One of the prettiest F1's of all time in my opinion, Ferrari 312B of Jacky Ickx. This is by Brumm; most of their offerings are from the 50's and I have loads of those!

Lotus 79 by Minichamps - the green is not as attractive as the black and gold in my view (I have one of those also, the Western Models version).

A brace of Jackie Stewart World Championship-winning Tyrrells, 1971 and 73. 003 and 006 respectively - Minichamps again.

Closer look at the 006.

And finally a brace and a half of 1998 Ferrari 300's by Minichamps. Left to right:
Schumacher's test car, Schumacher's early season race car, Irvine's late season race car complete with X-wings, surely the ugliest F1 accessory ever.
Soon after this I realised that the current year's F1's looked much the same as the previous year's, and would probably look much the same the following year, so my F1 collection stops at the end of 2000. Still, 98 years isn't bad is it?

More tomorrow depending how busy I get.

Not many today, the light was awful.
(And I actually had to do some work too!)

Pair of 1999 Arrows A20's by Minichamps, Takagi's test car left, De La Rosa's race car right.

My most recent F1, J-P Montoya's 2005 McLaren MP4/20 by Minichamps. I didn't buy this one, I had a go in the Siemen's Computers F1 simulator at an exhibition and won it for being third fastest round Silverstone. Had I been fastest I'd now be the proud owner of a 1/18 scale one.

Another of my favourite liveries, 1986 Benetton - Minichamps again.

One of the other themes I collect is Le Mans winners. Modelled here by Ixo, these are the 1968 and 69 GT40's. Although actually, you'd never see them side by side in real life because the same car won two years running.

As with F1's I only go up to 2000 so this is the most recent one; Audi R8S, Minichamps again.

In the case of this year's F1 World Championship wonner I may make an exception and buy it, because whoever wins it will be only the third time in the last 30 years that the car hasn't been a Ferrari, McLaren, Williams or Benetton/Renault.
