Guys,

Thought you might like to see my Restored Rough Rider. Bought a knackered chassis off EBay, and managed to find a half decent body. TamiyaClub do a replacemnet sticker set, so I set to work:

Paint is Halfords Spray, masked with Revell masking film. Metal and plastic parts polished with Autosol. Die castings cleaned with a suede brush.

Hope it brings back happy memories of the 1970's/80's for a few people!

Cheers,

Should have kept them! I sold the Rough Rider on EBay to pay for a new camera. Got back about £5 more than the total cost of restoring it (not including hours of labour!). Good job I got rid of it when I did though- Tamiya are apparently re-releasing it for a lot less than I sold my original for. Still, I enjoyed it. Kept my 1983 Frog though. Restored that too a while back.

Cheers,
