Hey All,

I'm itching to build something at the moment and as I don't have a garage or drive I can't tinker with real cars.
As a result, i'm thinking of building a Nitrotek Condor, nitro engine car: http://www.nitrotek.co.uk/A3001.htm

Has anyone built one of these before? Is it a good/bad place to start? I've never done any RC car stuff before. I've heard the nitro engines require more maintenance but that's kind of the point as I want to get my hands dirty, so to speak.

Any other suggestions welcome!

For £140 that is really cheap. As a taster it is pretty good but beware if you are the type of person that has money to spare and you like to upgrade or you appreciate finer engineering, you will outgrow it easily as it is all the lower end of the market.

I have a Acme Cyclone from Nitrotek... although I didn't build it myself, I've had it all to pieces three or four times... Uses the Team Infinity Nitro Engine which is pretty reliable, but fixing it when it breaks is all part of the experience.

I also have a HPI Savage... which is a beast of a monster truck... also comes in Kit form as the Savage SS. Much prefer this to the Cyclone these days.

Go for it...
