Well my birthday came and went and apart from lots of looking, watching YouTube and mooching around the various internet traders, I have yet to buy a heli.
However I have convinced myself that what I really need is a Belt CP, full carbon edition, with as many alloy bits as possible and 2.4GHz radio hehe
Sadly this would cost an absolute fortune and the best deals I can find from the likes of Heliguy, Buzzflyer and Kooltoyz (crap name, excellent prices) are all sold out!
However I've been offered a full-carbon-and alloy Belt (ie not a single bit of plastic left on it) with standard radio for £200, including alloy flightcase and multitudinous spares: I'd be mad to turn it down... wouldn't I?
I'm thinking I could upgrade the radio to a DX6i for about 100 shekels if I'm patient...

My main concern is: surely all that alloy and carbon must weigh more than the standard plastic version; can it still fly well, if at all? Or is it like many sports cars, all bling and no sling?

I'm guessing the reason the shops are low on stock is that they were all cleaned out for xmas and haven't had a fat container from China.

Nothing wrong with carbon and alloy, just costs you three times as much to replace lol
Its the same as RC buggies and cars, plastic bends and flexes, carbon/alloy just snaps, end of story.
