Good model maker needed
Discussion
Hey guys,
Have just popped into a bric-a-brac shop near me, and they had in a Heller kit, unopened, of a Bentley 4 1/2 litre...
As this was my recently departed grandad's favourite car, I had to buy it.
But, I know that whilst I can put together a Tamiya kit with reasonable success, I know I won't be able to put the level of detail and care into this kit that I'd like.
So, would anyone be interested in making this kit for me for a mutually agreed fee?
If not, are there any professionals out there that might be able to help?
Thanks in advance,
Sam

Where about are you?

Chichester I see....
I wouldn't want to make the model then send it as the chances of it arriving as I sent it are few and far between.
I travel about a bit, and have friends in the Midlands who come down to Chichester fairly regularly....ETa:

Quite a lot of sentimentality involved so willing to put in a bit of effort.
Where are you? No caravanning trips planned to the South Coast?!! (thank god, get enough down here as it is!!)

I'm pretty sure that this model is the Airfix Bentley whichn was released in the early 1970s. Btween 1986 and 2006 Airfix and Heller were both owned by Humbrol so many Airfix and Heller kits were released in either companies' boxes.
Since the purchase of Airfix by Hornby, this type of arrangement is now far less likely although there are some remnants of the old tie-ups still in place (the Airfix Dragon Rapide and T-6 Harvard are both from Heller moulds).

Eric is correct, same kit but a very good one by all accounts for the time it was produced. The 1:12th version is quite a beastie.Since the purchase of Airfix by Hornby, this type of arrangement is now far less likely although there are some remnants of the old tie-ups still in place (the Airfix Dragon Rapide and T-6 Harvard are both from Heller moulds).

Is that Airfix model being released?
That was one of the very first models that I ever remember my father making, I'd so much like to recreate that now for my sons to enjoy...
Both the Airfix and Heller versions are still available. A Google will find which model shops/sites still have them.Is that Airfix model being released?

The car is brilliant but the Union Jack is terrible! It's the same on the link to the standard Airfix kit, so either he used the Airfix ones, or the original car had a badly drawn flag and they're both accurate replicas!http://www.fpmodels.com/models.html
