Are Micro Machines every going to be considered as collectables, as I have still got hundreds from my childhood and just wanted to know if they were worth keeping
Thanks

God that brings back some memories.

Used to have loads of them too, must still be at my parents house in the loft somewhere. My little brother and i used to take those little unfoldable city boxes with us everywhere we went.

I also can remember some sort of big boat or ship full or micromachines i had.

Let's see what google comes up with, to bring back more memories :

I have loads as well. As for their value, it's what you think it's worth.

As soon as my lad is old enough to appreciate them, he can have 'em. That makes them priceless for me.

Don't like all the themed items though, prefer the older towns and cars. No thanks to harry spotter and star wars! ( if you want rid, let me know, I'll take 'em over.)

Had a look on ebay and noticed one that I had was going for £3, so I suppose its slowly making its way into history
When I was in Toys 'R' Us (with my little cousin of obviously) I found that the quality has dissapeared, you cant find any decent ones nowadays

Some of the early ones are more collectable especially the more detailed diecast models of production cars. If you don't need the space just put them away and forget you own them, if you do I am sure you will get a decent price on ebay or somewhere.

I have a massive collection in my parents loft (500+ cars/trains etc..) the whole city of fold ups and tons of other bits, it used to take me most of the day to set it all up and it took up so much space i was only allowed to play with them a few times a year.

I have seen largish collections go on ebay for £100ish so id image mine to be easily worth £200-300, Unless they get really valuable ill keep them for my kids (if i have any) although im sure they would need help setting them all up biggrin

The Specials like the Star Wars, Babylon 5 and Star Trek models could well be worth a bit in the future. Not so sure on the more common ones unless they turn out to be hard to get hold of.
