Hello there, I have a big collection of toys, old and modern and have dabbled with buying at auction and selling stuff via ebay and toy fairs. This has been mainly done to fund my collecting habbits as the last fair I stood at (Donnington in winter 2007) was a sucess until I spent £100 more than I took on some lovely schuco cars.

Just wondered what people in the trade thought the outlook was for the next couple of years as I am giving serious consideration to spending a little more time buying and selling toys, including possibly new models from wholesale suppliers and wondered if you had any advice on if its a good idea at the minute.

Chris,

Not sure whether I can help you or not, I actually ran an online diecast model business for about 2 years. I had stalls at a few shows and also had a small shop.

E-mail me via my profile if you fancy a chat.

Regards

Tim

Thanks guys,

Tim I will be in touch with a few questions sometime this week appreciate the offer, I am thinking stalls at shows, some online trading and ultimately a very long term aim of a shop. Not sure I really want to get into the sourcing and keeping up with new models as I tend to enjoy the older more eclectic selections of toys more.
