Old car models, worth anything

Like most PHers, I expect, I have a massive collection of late 70's & 80's toy cars, from matchbox, hot wheels etc, up to proper 1:10's. So was just wondering if they are worth anything really, has anyone put theirs up on eBay, was there much interest, or is it best to just chuck them?

As has been said before, the best (easiest) way of getting a guide on price is to look at eBay closed auctions for your models. You may have a nice rarity in there.

Be warned though, the market can be very strange at times!

I am interested in these. Get some pictures up on here and i will see if there is anything of ultra value in your collection.

Ebay is a good place to start, but be aware that the market is limited and also very limited at the moment.

Cheers for the advice guys, I really don’t want to chuck them but storage could be an issue soon, so it might be better for them to go to someone who will really appreciate them, are there any in particular that are quite rare/collectable, so I can have a look for them?

There's lots that are rare/collectible but to list them would take an age. Might be better if you could give an idea of what you have, maybe a few pictures?
