I bought a FlyCamOne2 last week and before going away for the weekend managed a quick flight Friday morning over the house. Footage has come out really well - see the YouTube video below:

Has anyone else tried attaching a video camera to an r/c plane?

How big is the plane, it sounded like a large 4 stroke engine pulling it.

Not quite! It's just a stock HobbyZone Super Cub! Basic 3 channel electric trainer plane...

Got it here

Heh he that was great it does sound like a 4 stroke though, picture quality is top notch mind all you need now is some machine guns and you can make your own war movies. hehe

Ewwwww, this is getting me thinking of digging a couple of my planes out of the loft and playing again although I suppose I'd need to find a club again.

Started again last year, joined Medway Flying club replaced all the rechargeables & serviced them. Flew around 4-5 times & then ain't flown since. Big waiting list in the area so reluctant to let membership drop but by the same token it's 95 quid a year!
I must fly before the end of the year!

Fantastic footage. What camera etc was used. I have converted my Cougar 2000 to electric this week, just waiting for some good weather to try it. Would love to put a camera on it.

It's the FlyCamOne V2 - I got mine here. Fantastic little video camera - only weighs 37g and has a swivelling lens.

Cool...!

Many years ago I used a small 'spy' camera on my JP Electrafun. This didn't record on-board but instead, gave a live feed from the aircraft via 2.4GHz microwave downlink to a ground station.

I should dig out the videos and put them on YouTube...!

Used to have great fun with it flying it to visual limits (altitude) and looking at the monitor see get a birds eye view from hundreds of feet up...
