Take him along to Great Yarmouth or Ipswich to watch the Hot Rods/Stock Cars/Bangers - get some smelly, noisy, real-car action into his heart smile

Consider buying used - much much cheaper. You may have to spend a little time straightening /cleaning the track but its well worth it versus what you will pay for new track etc. You'll get a lot more for your £100 - there's tons of it on E-bay.

I recently bought a "my first scalextric" set for my sisters kid. Just a smaller more robust version of the real thing ~£30
