Here's a question for you all.

If I have some scale drawings in 1/72 (20mm), and I want to enlarge them to 1/56 (28mm) - what magnification/enlargement do I need to apply on the copier?

This does'nt have the exact conversion but should be near enough.

28mm divided by 20mm = 1.4

or should that be

72/56 = 1.2857

as I am not sure where the 20 and 28mm come from

Thanks chaps

140% seems too big now I've photocopied it

128% is bang

Had an attack of intelligence and checked actual length of object against what the photocopier produced - actual object is 18ft long, scale drawing is 100mm

Near enough!

By the way, 20mm and 28mm are the general wargaming size equivalencies to 1/72 and 1/56. These being the heights, roughly speaking, of a man to his eyes (a more reliable measure due to helmets and things making top of head difficult)
