hi there guys

I have a thunder tiger eb4 (s2) which has been a fantasic little runner for some time and the other day I noticed some oil leaking out the back of the engine which has resulted in some harsh starts. Ive stripped it down cleaned it up and it seems like the back gasket at the engine outlet where the exaust fits seems to be a bit warn.

Ive phoned my local hobby store and no such luck on the spare, does anyone know where I can get some thunder tiger parts, Ive even contacted hobby stores in holborn and apparently the bloke recons he has a list of peoples names the size of his arm looking for that particular part.

Ive also had a look at the piston and its okay, I also managed now to break my pull start but I should be fine in getting another one of these.

Do you mean the rubber gasket that the exhaust pipe fits over?

Should be a fairly standard part on most 1/8th scale rallycross buggies.

Yea Mikey is right, any 1/8th exhaust gasket will fit.

hi guys

thanks for your answers

I popped into model zone in blue water yesterday as they stock alot of thunder tiger models and NO SUCH LUCK. Guy recons very difficult part to come by. I find it hard to believe but im going to camden today to the hobby shop there, hopefully they will have something available. It should be a simple fix and something such as a rubber gasket should be a standard item available if you sell thunder tiger rc. not going to give up

cheers once again

It shouldnt need to be a TT part. Fastrax and other aftermarket manufacturers supply them. So i think your model shops are being a bit thick...

They are like these arent they?

Is this any good? (not sure what a 'Lexan' body is?)

Give ModelSport a ring?

Lexan is clear plastic, you paint it from the inside. Modelsport site shows as being out of stock, but give them a call as they are a helpful bunch and will be able to tell you whether they can get it for you. DMS racing and Apex Models are also both very good (google them). One of them will definately be able to help.

Failing that, post on oople.com and someone on there will know for sure!
