Hi Guys,

i have a Schmacher Nanda Raptor and i am after someone that does fibreglass shells as there a little more durable.. it doesnt have to be a raptor shell as most HPI Savage shells fit..

Anyone point me in the right direction?

Or does anyone on here have the skills to make one from my lexan shell?

Cheers Guys

Provided your lexan shell is pretty much complete then yes I could either help you to do one, or do you one and a mould to make as many as you like.

The lexan shell would be scrap afterwards though, and really not sure fibreglass is stronger unless the lexan is silly thin.

Won't fibreglass be more brittle? Not what you want on impact.
Normal polycarbonate shells are pretty durable really.

I know someone who is an established maker of Savage sized fibreglass shells in the RC world.
Give me a while and I will find the details for you.

They ARE super strong as he makes them thicker than most. Yes they weight a bit more but the whole point of an FG shell is strength for hard bashing. He also soes the headlight and window stickers to go with them if you dont want to paint it yourself.

The purpose for wanting a fiberglass shell is because i am housing an oregan atk-2000 action video camera inside the truck. so it will be mainly for protection of the camera..
