Sorry if this hase been asked before.

I have a load of Burago models (including some limited edition Pirelli stuff)on my office shelf and they have now acuired a nice even coating of dirt and dust forrowing some recent DIY in the house.

Does anyone have a recommendation of how to clean them properly?

Does rinsing under the tap have any adverse effects?

Thanks

By all means wipe the outsides with a wet cloth, or better still baby wipes, as well as blowing with air and brushing, but sloshing under the tap will soak any paper based stickers and hard water will leave dried droplet shapes on the inside of windows, where they are a nightmare to remove unless you take the whole thing apart! Been there, done that!

paintbrush, feather duster or a microfibre cloth. Try polishing them with car polish too if you have the time and patience! makes a huge difference to the appearance and makes them easier to clean in the future!

All nice and clean now!

Thanks for your suggestions guys.

I ended up taking most of them apart, except the limited edition pirelli ones which cannot be removed from their plinths.

Most came apart and went back together easy except for the Kyosho Honda NXS which came apart easy enough but there were so many parts, screws and washers that it required superhuman levels of dexterity to get it back together.

All worth it in the end though!

Kyosho and Burago are in different leagues
