Customising 1:18's

Trawling through Ebay, I happened across this wee beastie:




Now the ad said the guy had put the wheels on himself, but they were aluminium. I've had a look all over the place & can barely find any sites that do custom spares for 1:18 models, let alone something as specialist as Ford 4-spoke revolutions!

So any idea where I should be looking? I'd love to do one of these myself so any tips or advice on a job like this would be appreciated.

I imagine he's milled them himself rather than buying them from somewhere, not that it helps answer your question though.

there from an german company, the lads on oldskoolford ahve bought a few sets iirc, there silly expensive though

Anyways, FYI, it's a Sunstar model (rrp £29.99) that's been stripped of it's rally livery & had the RS1800 ones put on (£12/13), and had the seats & wheels added, so......

Sunstar Escort - £29.99
RS1800 decals - £12.99
Wheels - says 20 euros but not sure
Seats - no idea

Sold on Ebay for................................................£146!

I was asking 'cos I want one for myself, but at that price, I could see myself knocking a few out to flog at National Day!

I'll keep you posted Jag if I manage to get one sorted.

I think i was the chap who started off the modified 1/18 models on ebay as before i was selling them you couldnt find modded 1/18 on ebay.

I have not bothered for few years now as there are loads doing so now.

I still have some modded escort cossies if anyones interested. Dont to sell on ebay as there are soooo many timewasters and non payers!

Quite possibly. I don't see too many of them on there though, although I'm only looking at Fords, & MK2 Escorts at that.
