Trust given your profile you will be carrying out full assessment prior to launch,
being mindful of all hazards (Ducks) before setting off,

thinking about it, how high would you aim to travel?

Yeah, I have one of the twenty-quidders from Superdrug (honest). It's marginal but does work. Used it on wooden and tiled floors without problem. Tried it out in a swimming pool at it worked well enough but it sunk a bit when I tried to jump it A-team style off the side of the pool into the water. It just nosedived in...! Still, that was years ago and it continues to work well...! Bargain for £20...!

Rather than buy one ready made, I can recommend making one yourself out of a polystyrene panel and some plastic bags (for the skirt). All you need is a 2-channel radio control and a few motors and propellers. If you make it about 18" wide you should have no trouble getting a couple of inches of lift.
