I have an old Tamiya Wild Dagger. Basicly it never really got going much as it kept running away from me where ever I raced it and thus I gave up with it. I now have a nitro truck so currently the wild dagger is surplus to requirements.

Thing is though, I don't want to just chuck it away. I still have all the radio gear and the car so wondered if I could raid it for parts and build something else from it?

Like a boat or something!?

The mechanics of it are;

Two 540 electric motors.

Mechanical Speed Control - I'd swap this for an electronic one as I think this has been the bane of my life.

130mm off road wheels.

2-Channel Radio w/Two Standard Servos (See COMMENTS

6 Cell Battery, charger etc...

Then I obviously have the car and shell etc... but don't want another 4x4.

Any ideas or should I kick the broken bane of my life truck, to the big green place of death bin and mourn?

I know an electronic speed controller would improve it all but , I would buy one if I used it for something but I don't want the 4x4 car aspect of it any more. I was just wondering if I could the electrics on it to make something a bit more fun.

Depends how ambitious you are feeling really. You mention a boat, you could use the servos attached to a rudder, the motors to power it.

Just need a hull and a bit of imagination and your away!

Can you just by hulls will? Or would it be a total rebuild from scratch?

Would just be a shame to chuck it away, could keep it still but it's been kicking about doing sod all for ages now.

I honestly don't know, I would have thought so though. I know nothing about the RC boat market, but worth looking into you are after a little project.
