Hi do any of you know where i can get a model, remote or static, of the lotus 7/ caterham type car. I'd like to build it up from a kit myself if there are any available. I've built a full size kitcar and would love a model to build of the winter months.
Thanks for any help
Paul

Mardave are doing a RC kit, probably more of an evening to build, rather than over winter.
Tamiya do a static model kit, often available on e-bay usually from Hong-Kong at £100+
I've got a Kyosho, not sure if it comes in kit form or of its availability.

Tamiya do a 1/24 scale Lotus 7 Series 2. They also do 1/12 scale Caterham 7 - in both JPE and BDR versions. The latter is much sought after and can be quite expensive.

Hornby released a 1/32 scale Caterham 7 in kit form. It was essentially the Scalextric 7 broken down into its bsasic components but without the motorised gear, It also has plastic tyres rather than the rubber tyres fitted to the Scalextric car.

There are a number of white metal 1/43 scale 7s out there as well. A search on the GrandPrix Models website might reveal if these smaller scale 7s are still available.

I am half way through building a 1/12th BDR clamshell winged 7, it is a fantastic kit, takes time but is superbly detailed.

That spaceframe model looks fantastic - considering it's 1/43.

If memory serves me (and why should it?). Kyoshi (check spelling) do the best Se7en kit.

I would suspect that the big Tamiya is THE most sophisticated Seven kit.

I think that other manufacturer is Kyoshu.

You're right. Got one sat here waiting to start. Also have Tamiya 1/12 Porsche RSR 934 and 935 Turbo kits just to keep it company. Winter nights look like being busy. If I live long enough I might even finish the Pocher 1/8 1932 Alfa Romeo Spider Gran Touring kit...............and that's not a reflection on my health, just the complexity and quality of the kit. No wonder Pocher went out of business.
