I used to have a GS Storm nitro RC buggy a few years back and sold it to get in to 1/5th scale which ws great but got sick of the buggy flipping all of the time!

I'm looking to get back in to 1/8th scale and wouldnt mind doing the occasional race meeting too (does anyone know of any unofficial clubs in the north west?)
I have been looking at the Kyosho inferno, Hoboa Hyper 7TQ and Hyper 8 but dont know which to opt for.
Hyper 7TQ seems to be best vlue for money but if the hyper 8 is wworth the extra £80 or so that it is then mybe thats the better option.

Any ideas?

Have you considered a Hong Nor LX-1 Buggy - with a .28 engine, there are some details on the s-m-d (the importers) website..

Wont be legal if you want to race though..

Theres Pendle rc club, we have a race track at our place too, northnotts if its not too far.

Hi Tony,

Found the thread. In the north there is of course Pendle and Mold aint to far away either if thats still going.

If your fed up of buggies flipping you might be interested in 1/5th scale on road. Big track in Halifax.

Is that you Fossil? (algie7)

Hi mate,

Cheers for the info!

I did have a 1/6th Marder, but got fed up of that flipping over actually, just fancied going back to nitro for a change!

Will have a look in to those clubs, I'm not really looking for anything too formal, there used to be a gang of lads who had a club over at risley moss although it was more of a thrash about than a proper class. Its that type of thing for now that Im looking at.

Cheers
A

Just sold my Hyper 7 TQ - What a fantastic car. Sold it to upgrade to an ex Elliot Boots MP777 SP2 with an RB S7 - Still think I prefer the Hyper though! Doesn't bite your head off each time you coax the throttle.
