Not sure if this is the right forum to be posting this but here goes ...

I've got a collection of 1:18 scale models and will be moving house soon which this gives me the chance to get them into a proper display case.

Ideally I would really like a desk (study) with a shelf or similar underneath the main surface that would allow me to display the cars underneath (if that makes sense?). This would obviously work best if the whole thing was glass but I'm not sure this is possible.

Alternatively I'm looking for a floor standing glass cabinet that will fit approximately 30 cars in (or 2 cabinets with space for 15 cars each).

Does anyone know anywhere to buy anything like this?

Cheers!

Try Picture Pride Displays. They specialise in display cases for models although I've only ever looked their wall mounted types (I bought one for my 1/43 cars 7 years ago).

I've used a company that do the free standing ones with halogen lamps at the top - Their name escapes me, but when I get home, I'll post it up.

Go visit your nearest IKEA as they have some stunning cabinets. I've got several at home, wooden with glass fronts. I've added extra glass shelves and installed some lights at the top. They look the business, and the wife is happy because the wood matches the rest of our furnitiure smile

That looks spot on, a trip to IKEA might be in order.

Thanks for that, it triggered me to go to Ikea yesterday. I've just got to build it now!
