Flying near Cobham, Surrey

Folks,

Do you know of any sites near Cobham where it's allowable to fly?

I've found Chobham common which seems great, but quite distant. I've also been told by my local model shop about Ripley airstrip, but having been there, it all looks rather private and not sure I'd be in the right flying there.

It seems to me that for a country where about 2% is built up, there are very few places to fly - see my earlier post on flying in parks!

At about 5k an acre for agricultural land, this may seriously be the best option quite soon!

I've revisited Ripley airfield and found a very suitable place where there's a public right of way and it's pretty secluded. I'll keep this thread posted with any further suitable sites I find
