3 mins 30 in and he crashes an RC jet. I'd love to get one at some point. Just need to make sure I've got substantial insurance!

Well impressed by the RC Jet pre crash, amazed at how much 'burn area' there is from what little fuel the jet would have carried.eek

Cool. That crashed as well as it flew!

So, surely you'd want you head testing building a large scale RC jet which in real life is stacked full of computer systems because it doens't like staying in the air.

Dunno, I'm still chalking that one up to a dumb thumb - the progressive banking in the wrong direction is typical of co-ordination cock up through silhouetting - IMO of course! (I did exactly that with a large DF jet going through the sun)

How odd - same here! screwed mine in a car accident. Ditto the planks, to get them to a comfortable height for practising new manoeuvres they are so far away it's a bit of a mare - another reason I've gone more heavily into small light electrics, two mistakes high is only a few feet up biggrin

that is odd mine want due too an accident its a spinal deformity that's why i like too fly 2m plus wingspan planks easier for me to see.

its a pain, but that said one of my best m8s and flying buddy has got 3inches of his spine missing all together. after he had radical surgery to remove a section due to a malignant tumour.

so he is totally paralyzed from just below his arms down his sister in-law is also is in a chair and fly helis and planks. and another friend of ours has spina bifida and is in a a chair too and tries too fly as well.

so us lot are know as the raspberry ripple flying club

me and the the guy who had the tumour are serously thinking about going to turbines soon

looks like the engine had a wet start at the beginning, hense all the flames.
when a model jet goes in the tank often burst spraying liquid parafin over a hot jet pipe, this then vapourises and flashes over.

i've got two jet engines, one is a prototype and one a fully working engine, the prototype engine has flown.

heres a video clip of my prototype on test.
http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=Aud8n3ykWkM
checkout my other video clips to see some excellent wetstarts where the test bench sets on fire! heh heh.

my best mate makes these engines for a living and i help with testing and development

Not quite as big a fireball, but similar entertainment value none the less.

Big stack. One for the turbine guys - I noticed he's got a gyro in there. Which axis will be being stabilised by this...?

P,
This stack is legendary. Quite possibly the funniest crash I have ever seen. been in my Youtube favourites for a while - nice to see it getting aired on PH. The way it comically blows up (no that wasn't staged) and the guys comments afterwards are priceless. What am I gonna tell my wife etc... hehe

This is brilliant. It was already pretty amusing by the time he'd managed to ge the wheels down, but the finale makes it perfect!
