My mate wants to learn to fly a plane. We both had a go with a trainer helicopter before and found it very hard to get the hang of so thought it may be a good idea to have a go on the computer first. Looking into it a bit more my mate found this...

He seems adamant he wants to use this software but we are having trouble trying to get a transmitter to plug into a computer. Please bear in mind I only know what I have read this afternoon so it may come out as giberish.

It seems that he needs a transmitter with the futaba tx port. The local model shop has leads that connect transmitters either using tx to tx or tx to din. Searching online i found this...

Which seems to be the sort of lead we would need. However we cant find a UK stockist with them in stock until sept the 1st.
The din option looks like a dead loss as we can only find 5 pin din to 3.5mm adapters. It seems the tx-din would use a 6 pin din.

Does anyone know where to buy a tx to usb in the uk? or have any idea how to make the lead? i have no doubt it cant be that hard its just I wouldn't know what wire in the lead corresponds to what pin in the usb connector. any ideas?
