Spray painting tips
Discussion
Ive just cut the model shell out of the plastic mould, and practised spraying a few of the cut off pieces. The paint bubbled (I sprayed the inside of the mould) and looked terrible. Any general tips on spraying? How many layers do you guys tend to do, and should every layer perhaps be very fine?
Any help appreciated

OK. The big bubbles are magically gone, but more layers are needed (on the test piece of plastic). The inside looks shite, so yeah... thinner layers are probably needed. The outside looks amazingly shiny and yes its been washed
Will hopefully find time to spray it this weekend and also do the decals.

I'll have a read later, cheers for the link Im sure I'll figure it out but can anyone hint at how many layers are normally required to paint the inside of a RC car shell properly, and roughly how long to leave it between sprays. Im in and out all weekend and would like to finish it off fully by sunday night.
First layer was thin, you can still see through it.. roughly how many layers/drying periods am I looking at for a perfect finish?

Normally 2 or 3. Too heavy coats you run the risk of fogging, crazing etc. What paint are you using?First layer was thin, you can still see through it.. roughly how many layers/drying periods am I looking at for a perfect finish?
I'll let you know when Mr Hornet arrives BTW!

Trick is lots of light sprays as recommended, doesnt seem to take long to dry either. Good luck with the driver dude And thanks
