Hi.

Thinking of buying several diecast models soon. I was thinking of keeping it at a reasonable amount, maybe £50 per model 1/18th scale.

Models include some Le Mans cars, a Caterham, Original Mini and others over time....

So it all boils down to who are the names in the diecast industry?

I don't want to spend £50 and get a crap model, I want to get as good as I can for my money and none of these brands mean a thing to me.

So this is where you modellers come in smile

Help appreciated.

I like Autoart and Mini Champs which are good quality and should fit the budget.

Hi,

Thanks for the suggestions.

AutoArt seem to have a lot of models but not really the ones I'm looking for e.g. only the new mini etc... so I'll try Minichamps next.

yes me too. Although Minichamps are pretty good also. I've also a Kyasho (sp?) e60 M5 which aint to bad either. All are in or around the £50 mark.

true, another company that do have a limited selection but in the same price range is Classic Carlectibles, they only do aussie cars but the level of detail is alot better than autoart.

Hi,

Sorry for the lack of replies, I've been away lately.

I have found many but not all of the cars that I am after.

I would like one of the orignal minis, not the new ones.

I'm finding it hard to find a good quality one.

AUTOart, Minichamps, CMC, Exoto, Kyosho are the best brands to choose from.

As for where to by, well I can think of two companies to steer clear of smile
