Advice wanted,
I have just bought some secondhand radio control gear, supposed to be unused. I have charged up both batteries and installed them in the gear but I can't get the servoes to operate. All I get is a small movement when they are first switched on. Doesn't seem to matter what I try to do with the sticks or switches on the transmitter nothing happens.
What am I doing wrong or maybe what haven't I done that I should havedone?

Have you checked that the crystal in the handset matches the crystal in the reciever? Cant really think of anything else.

Are you sure that the batteries are good in the receiver pack as they may be old and dead

Another possibility is a damaged crystal, they are very delicate - do you have any "known" crystals to try?

Also sounds obvious, have you got the Tx Xtal and RX Xtal in the RX and TX, and not the wrong way round?

Not sure if the Skysport is just PPM or PPM/PCM switchable, but if so, make sure that it's set to the correct system for the RX. Secondly, in addition to the Xtal debate, checl they are the correct make/compatible. Not all Xtals work in all systems. In addition to the above, ensure the Rx Xtal is single or dual conversion type as per the Rx. They are not cross-compatible AFAIK.
