As an avid fan and collector of Eddie Stobart models, I've often seen some strange Code 3 models created from standard models being sold at really high prices. Why so expensive? They are not official items, just some guys who enjoy taking standard models and modifiying them.

Same with Pollocks stuff - I suppose you're paying for their time in creating the one-off and the fact that you have the only one.

Agreed, but the quality is a little suspect on some models and they change anything into a livery just because it is collectible.

I know people laughed when Corgi released the Eddie Stobart Reliant Robin saying that they never had a reliant, but this car realy did exist. It belongs to a fan of Eddie Stobart who converted his personal Robin into a full liveried car, hence why Corgi created it.

I recently saw a dustbin lorry in Eddie Stobart livery (code 3) come on your taking the piss!!!!!

But if people are willing to pay for, and hence they want, the model, where's the problem? That's the whole point of it being 'branded' code 3, surely?

Some of the models I produce could sometimes be described as a bit of a flight of fancy, but if someone wants to pay me a few quid for them, who am I to argue? In fact a lot of the commissions I get are 'what ifs' (I've never done any Stobart though )

I think as long as they are clearly advertised as code 3, there's no problem with producing them.
