Just got an Eddie Stobart TEKNO model off eBay. To say I was very disapointed is an understatement. Never seen one up close before, and as their retail price is normally twice that of a Corgi 1:50 scale lorry and their eBay prices are pretty high too, with many going for over £100 I was expecting a stunning scale model to add to my impressive Eddie collection...

The quality sucks. The fit and finish is crap and comes no where near to the quality of a Corgi model. Real shame as I now have all the Corgi versions of the Eddie Stobart lorries and was about to start collecting the TEKNO ones.

Not the fault of the eBayer at all, just shocked at the crap this company is trying to put out as collectible models, especially when you see retail prices of 175 Euros!!!

I don't have any Tekno stuff in my collection at all - mainly due to lack of dealers and the prices can be a bit high.

The photos of their new releases in 'Model Collector' usually look pretty good though.

But if their quality is no better than Corgi,a bit of a rip off then.

That's the crazy thing Nic. Photo's I've seen look cool, and the price would make you think that the quality is far better than what Corgi produce, but what I say was very poor and I'm not risking my money on any others from that company.

how old was the stobart model (tekno)the older models the qulity/detail is not that good imho.i myself prefer the teknos of which i have a large collection.but i must say that these are very delicate an break very easy.but i think the detail on a tekno is a lot better.
