Was trawling the eBay site the other night looking for more fantastic bargains and tripped up a guy who was selling a 1:43 scale Minichamps Benetton from the Michael Schumacher Collection and he had a buy now price of £500 - come on he must be crazy? Or should I say the idiot who ever parts with 500 notes for a 4in model is the crazy one!!!!!

That got me thinking, what has been the most ridiculous price for a scale model you have seen on eBay, and I'm taking about sky prices here, not one to complain about the cheap prices because that's good for us model collectors

God there are so many ; off the top of my head UT McLaren F1GTR in Harrods colours for $800, and did sell! And a UT 993GT2 RS (I think) in blue for $300

Also UT escort cosworths going for around £70, whilst still in shops for around £20
