Anyone got one of these? Love the idea of them, reckon they'd be pretty good fun?

Kyosho also do the 1/18? Nitro Mini inferno 09,

I wonder with these small wheels, are they any good on anything but a pretty flat surface.

I have a Tam Tech Gear Frog and it doesnt run well in the garden with an uneven surface. It isn't nitro or 4wd though.

The Rascal isn't really a micro. Schumacher's claim of 1/16th scale is a bit dubious, at best it is 1/12th in comparison to a 1/8th truck like a Savage.

I would say is is more like a short-wheelbase 1/10th nitro buggy.

The Kyosho Mini Inferno .09 is very much a micro car, 1/16th scale.

You're right about the wheels, the Kyosho needs a smooth prepared surface to excel, the Rascal can handle a bit more rough stuff but will get lively on big bumps and badly rutted terrain.

I tend to find Shumacher stuff extremely well made, I currently have a fusion 21 and it is excellent, very tough which is a good job given the speeds it hits, I used to race cougars, and likewise found them extremely resiliant.

The jap stuff Kyosho and Tamiya while looking far nicer tend not to have that same level of strength.

I got one at Christmas! It's great!! Size wise it's sits between a 1/10 scale Tamiya electric kit and my 1/18 scale nitro XRAY that I have, so it's pretty small for a .18 nitro car.

I've not had a chance to drive it much, but it is very fast and great fun - especially as it's rear wheel drive, so great for doing donuts!! It also seems pretty solid and well built, although I've not bashed it around properly yet so can't say for sure how sturdy it is. It takes a fair bit of abuse in some of these video clips though
