Seeking model TVR Chimaera

I would love some good models of a Chimaera, both ready-made, or even better, one that I could build myself. I've searched on the web and always look in my local model shop, but nothing. Is there anywhere else I could try?

Don't think your going to have any luck mate.

I've had a Cerbera on order with various Die-Cast model companys for just over a year now and all i keep getting back is a letter saying that they're still waiting for it to be released.

To have one comissioned for you will cost a considerable amount of money, how much i don't know but it wont be hundreds at a guess.

I don't suppose you can get them now, but TVR used to make model Chimaera's to the exact spec of your car, you even had to pay extra for the flip paint, they were about £180

If they were still avaiable then i think i'd have to get a Cerb. in Reflex Charcol (sp?).....mind you though, it'd have to be a goodun for that sort of money.

Yep, they're the one's who i've had them on order with. They keep changing the dates on them though.

I can't find any details about them anywhere, but i seem to remember that the had proper hide interior/real carpet, and were basically built exactly the same as a normal TVR

Have you seen any of their models in the flesh? The pics look a little rough round the edges, however I am still VERY tempted to have one made. £77 is not a lot of money for something unique, as long as the quality's not crap. The site says 1:12 models are coming soon, so that could be worth waiting for.

Edited to add: I reckon the pics are just low res, giving the impression of poor finish. I've just seen u can order them in kit form too, for less money, so I'm WELL chuffed! Am gonna enquire as to when the 1:12 models are due, as that would be fantastic! Thanks again Nicholas, that's made my day!

I've had a couple made and very pleased. The pictures on the website arn't that great. Any colour you like with reg to match. It's pretty good TBH. Being white metal, they are quite heavy in the flesh.

thats a nice looking little model, wouldn't mind one myself. space is the problem though i only have one more space for a decent model car in my collection and thats already reserved for my Jadi Cerbera. if it ever arrives...
