The Lightning GT
I brought one of these the other day. Cost under £300 new.
Nitro engined and my 1st nitro engined truck to date.
Have took the time to bed it in and have had a few blasts about with it. After a crash down Longmoor Army Camp I have lost an air filter, a clip to hold the body on and I hope that that is it.
Seems I need a new air filter now and then I'll zip tie that on.
Anyway it's an .26 engine, 4WD, 3" ground clearance, 50ish MPH I think.
Anyone else had one of these?
Also are there any tips to stop bits falling off if I crash it again or to improve the engine tuning?
Here are some pictures for the mean time anyway.

Great looking truck the GT . So nearly bought one last year as my first nitro after seeing them on track at the model expo at the NEC .
In the end , I missed out the nitro stage and went straight onto the petrol stage - the missus bought me a 1/5th Hpi BAJA 5b for xmas !!
Like you , I have only put one tank through it and am already upgrading the steering servo to metal gears - I learnt that although the Baja is huge , a kerb will still win at 35mph Lucky all I did was strip the servo gears !
As the GT is made by HotBodies (Hpi) , I doubt you will have much trouble with it - but I bet there are loads of upgrades available that will make it stronger .
nice truck
