Found this old model kit in the old man's cupboard. Although I like building models, this kit is of no use to me. An Amazing kit for its age, built in 1961, it includes tools, electric motor, lighting and bags of metal components. I'm going to throw it on ebay just to raise some money for the old man's retirement fund ;-)

They do a V8 too in 1/4 scale. The block is transparent so it is marketed appropriately enough under the moniker of "Visible V8" - nice kit.
Still available (I got one last year) even though it originally came out in the early 60's. The first ones had a motor hidden inside the gearbox cover so you could see all the pistons and valves doing their thing at the touch of a button. The current ones only have a handle to turn manually.
Does look fine perched on top of my V8 coffee table though.
