I want Nitro - where do I start?
Discussion
Hi guys...
Used to have a few electric tamiya 1/10th touring cars when I was wee, they were great fun if a pain in the ass (I never had many battteries or a fast charger!).
The problems I had were body shells getting smashed up too easy, crashing when you hit a 1 mm bit of gravel, and measly run times.
Anyway, I'd quite like some thing with a nitro engine. Now the problem I had with the touring/rally cars, is you needed pretty much smooth as hell tarmac or wood to drive em on.
I'm more interested in something I can powerslide around gravel car parks and fields (Will take it with me when I go mountain biking, will live in the car boot.)
And, I'd like to build it myself, as its half the fun, and presumably cheaper?
I know nothing so far - so hopefully you can guide me.
I also dont know how much all this costs, it may be more than I can afford.
In short have I will need the full kit, radio gear etc, and would like
-Proper engine
-Strong
-Kit form ( only really as I'm presuming this will be cheaper, no problems with me building it.)
-RWD or 4WD for powerslides
-Big as poss for given amount of money
Is 2nd hand a sensible idea or do you just get shagged stuff?
