My other half got one of those little PiccoZ (I think) helicopters for Christmas, and he's been like a big kid ever since. Only thing is he's now muttering about something with a little more 'functionality'. Apparently this little helicopter only has controls for up and down (well up really as gravity takes care of the down bit) and left and right on the tail rotor thing. Whether it goes backwards or forwards is entirely in the lap of the gods and whether anyone sneezes.

His birthday is comimg up at the beginning of January so I was wondering if anyone can recommend a helicopter for indoor use only, that has more channels and that won't break the bank. I love him to bits but don't want to spend the earth if this is going to be just another passing fad.

Thanks guys.

I have a twister bell 47, it is not like a normal copter and has contra rotating blades instead of a tail rotor but is so easy to fly around my living room

Thanks for the recommendation Mikey. Have just ordered him the Army Medevac version of the Twister. Reckon he should be pretty pleased with that.
