Hannants stock them, but a bit expensive for 1/72 kits.

Very unusual stuff mostly - however did you notice a C-17 in 1:72! that will be a monster. I don't where people find the room to store such stuff.

There are loads of "Special" model kit manufacturers around these days. They often produce extremely good quality kits mainly using a short run inmjection moulding process coupled with resin components and etched matal accessories. They can work out very expensive and can be difficult to assemble. However, if you really want that model of a one off rocket powered research aircraft, or an obscure French pre-WW2 fighter, then these are the types of model copmpanies to check out.

I'd suggest a look at Czech Master Resin, MPM, Classic Airframes, Pavla, Valom, Planet and Magna.

You'd be surprised what's out there in addition to the more usual Tamiya, Hasegawa, Airfix (sob) fare.
