Fastest RC car

Inspired by 5th Gear last night to ask .......... what would be the absolute fastest RC car around a track and can anyone give some figures to quantify the performance against a real racing car?

For anyone that didn't see it a Mini Cooper GP was beaten round a track by an electric RC car by a considerable margin. It was a Kart track though.

Sorry if this is a bit of a childish question - but like most folk with an interest in cars I can't help but be impressed by things that go super-fast.

Thanks chaps. Have I understood correctly that the car is electric? I was assuming the fastest RC car would be petrol powered.
