Pro max r/s 1/6

Hi guys, I have been offered by a mate a Protech Pro Max RS 1/6 Gas Inpreza. Its really tricked up, and, minus a spare engine, there is almost enough spares for another car. Its mint condition and he wants £280 for the lot including the radio gear. Just wondering, are these any good, havent heard of them before and whats the spares situation like? Only ask as I have a Kyosho Landmax 1 and dread driving it in case I break something, every model shop near me (south of London) cringes when I say "Landmax", cant get spares and I end up trawling ebay. Is it worth the money and can you get spares easily?
