The head and hands on that crew picture look like they've been added in later on a computer.
Which is odd - because all the rest of it is so amazing, why fake these bits?

You think? They look okay to me.
Mind you, makes me want to jack it all in. Will never get remotely close to that level of skill.

That is mad. Looking at it, you can tell it's a model, but you don't know why. I think it might be because of the way the camera focusses.
Having said that, as someone else has pointed out, I think the model is bigger than one might believe it to be!

Yup, its a big plane.
Real plane is the F-18 Hornet. Length nose to tail 56ft (or 672inches)
Article say's its 1/32 scale so that means the model plane on its one is about 21inches long is it not? (672/32?)
Still, doesnt take away from the amount of work he's done.
ps. the crew members are all photoshopped in (as is the coke can). guess it add's realism to certain shots that makes you question what you are seeing.
Sorry, but this really annoys me- photoshopping images onto shots of an, albeit well painted model.
I would say this seriously detracts from the work done on that piece and just says to me that the guy behind it lacks the skills of constructing and, more importantly painting figures in 1:32 scale. Ok, this can be an art in itself- look at this tiny figure for example:www.squadron.com/images/large/AES5F14.jpg
But to cheat your way out of your weaknesses is just not on IMHO. If you were to see that model in the flesh as such, would I presume that you wouldn't see any ground crew?
What do others here think?

Fantastic.
I do think the chappy with the bang seat is photoshopped in though. The area around the upper knee isn't quite right for me.
But hey, that really is some serious talent on show there.

Upper knee appears to be in front of the side of the seat, but the shadow is behind it.
