First model in years.....
Discussion
Ok, so I haven't started it yet, but my girlfriend bought me one of these yesterday....
Incredible amount of parts for a Tamiya model so looks like I now have to remember everything I used to know about model building and learn a whole lot more (I don't think this is one I can just throw together).
Already decided on a colour scheme, just gotta find the paints

If you've "been away" for a while you were probably happy to use enamel paints. Acrylics are now the ones to go with, brush or spray, (or airbrush if you have one). Tamiya Acrylics are as good as good as any. For superb metallics go for ALCLAD II. This link should give you a start for Tamiya. The second one is the Alclad site. Awesome. Enjoy the v nice kit.

Once you've finished the Enzo, have a look at the Tamiya 1/12 Caterham Super Seven BDR, complete with alloy body panels and lots of screws.

Never got into enamel paints. Always used spray paint acrylic's with the smaller parts brush painted (usually with slightly watered down paint to make the finish smoother).
Way back in the day I used to paint Warhammer 40K stuff and a year or so ago dug all the paints out to teach my mates son the finer points of blending and dry brushing etc. It's taken from then until now to actually buy a model, and even then my girlfriend is the one who payed the money (bless her )
cheers for the links though
I found this link just after I got the kit and its pretty detailed, although I'm pretty sure my skills are not quite up to the web owners level

Although I may well give the seatbelts a try as I am in no rush to finish it. I dont need to try the cigarette packet foil as I have a small book containing ultra thin sheets of real alloy that will fill that roll nicely.

amazing detail but I've stuffed the paint on the bonnet already might have to try and paint it black to simulate a carbon bonnet
Just an idea, why not spray the bonnet black then lay some netting across it when dry then spray it lightly with green through the netting to give the CF look, might work.
