Slowly getting my teeth back into a small mountain of Tamiya 1/12 cars and I could do with something to replace the over-bright chrome plate: can anyone recommend a brush/spray paint that is a good substitute?
Aside from the over-bright finish some of these kits are re-issues and the moulds are disappointingly far out of register by Tamiya standards - or maybe I have an over-optimistic recollection of the way they were...
While I'm on the subject, does anyone have any experience of the Studio 27 or Accustation photo-etch parts kits?

Nick, try Alclad II, they do a range of airbrush ready metallic finishes and one of them is Chrome, it has to be applied over a gloss black base. To remove the kit chrome try bleach, this will leave very shiney plastic parts, then if necesary remove any mould lines before applying the black/chrome.
