Just bought some new Helicopters
Discussion
Had a bit of a buying spree recently and picked up three helis. All are vintage models. One's a Kyosho EP Concept (one of the first electrics that actually worked) and is brand new in it's box from 1993, the second is a Kyosho Concept 60 SR which is a big mutha (60" long) and I just today picked up a Concept 30 with the scale Jet Ranger fuselage I'll be keeping the electric NIB but the Jet Ranger's gonna be flown. Will see how scary 60 is before I attempt to fire it up...!
Concept 60 not arrived yet so no pics but others below.

Hi VL,
Jet Ranger came from a chap off eBay. They haven't been produced for 8 or 9 years now. Other scale fuselages are available from different manufacturers, but this type from Kyosho is a bit of a classic. I just picked up an identical model but with a Hughes 500 body. Pics can be found in the Other Helis section of my site at www.raptorv2.co.uk
Cheers,

In a word, yes. Although it's one of those things that once you get the hang of it you won't forget, but starting can be a painful and expensive process. The best bet is to buy a PC based simulator (I use RealFlight G3) and learn on that. I started the wrong way - self taught, no simulators and now use the sim to keep my hand in over the Winter months.
It's unfortunate that many people get fed up and leave the hobby as they get so far through the learning process and then give up.
If you ever fancy getting into the hobby, drop me a PM and I'd be happy to advise on some starter gear. You can get airborne with a brand new pod and boom model for not much over a monkey these days.
