I have done the Revel North Cormorant oil rig model, bought it myself for my birthday last year as no one was taking the hint, will dig out a photo of it.
edited to add... scrap the digging the photo out! didn't look at the links first!
That's the one I did! I think I got it for about £60

Nice model and it looks very challenging, just as an interest i was watching a programme on C5 the other night about the worlds largest cargo carriers and this featured a very large flat ship designed to carry oil rigs ,the oil rig in question weighed in at 40,000 tons plus and the ship lowered itself in the water to allow the rig to float on.
They had to work to a tolerance of within 10cm to balance the large rig in place and they got it to within half of that IIRC,very interesting,i will see if i can pull a photo.

The most challenging bit about making the model that I found was the flippin steps and railings, that really did try my patience, but I did have it all finished in a couple of weeks, it really didn't take long once I got going.... but then I did a lot of the painting in huge batches and had parts hanging up all over the house drying (be warned, I went through 3 tins of yellow paint)

You probaly did a better job of painting it than they have done recently, it's a rusty lump of a place.
