I would like a new body for my Tamiya 1/10th Rover Mini Cooper.
I would like to have a TVR body on it.
I have not got a clue what size it is apart from 1/10th.

Can any one help me out?

cheers

IIRC it sits on the M chassis so will only fit with some modification. The Chassis on the Tamiya is roughly 210mm and the tuscan shells are 200mm.

Cheers for the reply

so does this mean i would have to drill the holes for the things that hold the body on?
And what about the wheel arches, would these fit? or would it have to be cut?

cheers

Suspect that you won't be able to fit another body to it. I have a TT-01R which is a standard 190mm design that most Tamiya and HPI bodies fit. Your wheel base is 20mm shorter so none of the standard bodies will fit.

Besides, front wheel drive TVR

Highly unlikely you could modify it. Better to buy yourself a cheap TT-01 kit and then use the battery, servos, speed controller and receiver from your MINI.

You can get the Tamiya TT-01 Nissan 350z for £68 inc. VAT and delivery here

You don't say whether you have an M01 or M03 Mini Cooper. The original M chassis was modular, the 3 modules can be mixed and matched, When initially launched it was as the Mini Cooper ie front wheel drive and short chassis - M01, this was soon followed by a Fiat 1000 TCR which was a rear wheel drive short chassis - all the same parts were used just assembled in a different combination - an M02. This was follwed by a medium length version and then finally by a long version all with differet bodies. The lengthening of the chassis was acheived by different length front (rear) modules. Very easily acheived, in fact the M chassis racers used to switch between RWD and FWD between heats if it rained ... !! If you need any more help give me a shout.

Well, i think the chassis is an M-03 (says on the assembly booklet)
so what would i need to do to make a TVR body fit?

cheers
