Decisions Decisions.. do I go to the Popham model airshow today/tomorrow or Eric's clubs model show at Fleet leisure centre tomorrow? I will struggle to find time to do both....

I would have gone to Fleet, meet Eric, get his autograph and buy the special edition 1/12 scale Airfix model of Eric Vader...

I went to Popham and enjoyed it. There were more trade stalls than last year, although as that clashed with about three other shows, it wasn't difficult. What I saw of the flying was very good. A former work colleague was flying one of the pair of large blue and white clipped-wing Piper Cubs that were doing aerobatics.
One of the gas turbine helicopter guys was telling me his (I think) EC135 model burns two litres of kerosene in eight minutes eek

In the marquee, the airliners guy in the tent had an impressive display of (nearly) all the aircraft that have worn British Airways colours since 1974. The racing drones were just mind-boggling as they zipped though the obstacle couse with their 'first person video' micro multi-rotor crafts. There was also a drifting circuit with 1/12 scale r/c cars that looked fun.

If I had known IPMS had booked the real Eric, and not just a tribute act, I might have gone there too.

You - and Eric - are fortunate that I'm on the laptop which doesn't have Photoshop on it. Of course if anyone would like a glimpse of the tribute act I can attend to it tomorrow smile

Our show went very well.

Visitors up on last year and very positive feedback from those who attended.

I did make it to Fleet leisure centre, which with the random roadworks and closures was more of a challenge than usual. Hower I was with the family for a swim rather than for Eric's show. I did have a looksie down at the show, but late in the day so people were packing up. Looked to be a great attendance and I heard quite a few positive comments as people were leaving so does sound like a great show.
