I have inherited this train track from my Uncle. He apparently paid £1 for it all, there is twice as much as the photo. He kept buying bits for it including the "chairs" and sleepers.

Can anyone identify it so I can stick it on ebay and get rid?

Ta.

I'm no expert, but it might be Bassett Lowke three rail track. Take a look at the following link:

https://hansonslive.hansonsauctioneers.co.uk/m/lot...

Three rail, as the centre, and outer rails could be electrified, to run electrically powered locos.

Basset Lowke were highly regarded in the early part of the 20th century.

Not to confused with the, in name only, modern offerings from Hornby..

Nice one thanks, found this box. We thought it might be copper and worth weighing in but I suspect it is brass, some of it is magnetic that is shiny, some non magnetic that is black. However seeing the price of the junctions I won't be doing that now! I have 2 sets of the signal box levers alone that seem to be worth £100.

It is going to be time consuming but it seems worth splitting it down as I can post the items, the whole lot is too heavy to list.
